Public Comment &

Correspondence:        C. Houghton called in to express his concerns about the state of the trees in town. One area of concern is the area behind his property where Hurricane Floyd knocked down a good number of trees. Also, the property that is adjacent to his, where trees were being removed by unauthorized persons. The funding that was going towards tree plantings went to the removal of Ash trees due to Emerald Ash Borer. There needs to be a higher level of focus on our tree canopy.

R. Brooks explained the various committees associated with Parks and Recreation and how they work together. Shade Tree Commission is looking for members, as is Open Space and PRC Board.

S. Winograd called in to ask for help from the PRC Board to get answers from the Village Council in regards to Schedler. She has not received a response from the Village Council to her letter.

R. Brooks inquired about the confusion between SHIPO and the Village Council.

S. Winograd suggested that the PRC Board write a letter to the Village Council inquiring about the plan for Schedler and when it will be re-submitted.

N. Bigos suggested that P. Vagianos schedule a meeting with the Village Council, the Village Manager and all the departments involved with Schedler.
