Ridgewood Fields Committee Meeting Minutes

January 3, 2023 – 7:00 am

 Attendees:  K. Cook, R. Brooks, P. Thomas, E. Seavers, N. Bigos, C. Fisher, B. Lynch, S. Winograd,

P. Vagianos, B. Lasky, A. Mahmudi , S. Bisig, H. Kwak, Z. Pace, M. Hefferan

I.                        Approval of Minutes – December 6, 2022

II.                        Public Comment

III.                        Field Scheduling/Master Library Update

K. Cook – winter schedule is working smoothly, will have new person taking A. Brunner place, and contact him until replacement is made.

N. Bigos – The meeting with the BOE and Village about Master Library went well and will meet again to discuss possible integration of Village fields/ facilities.

IV.                        2023 Fields Committee Meeting Schedule

K. Cook – will send out current contact sheet, 2023 Meeting Schedule and asked for any updates to contacts to be forwarded to him.

V.                        Field Schedule Draft for Spring 2023

E. Seavers- handed out Spring 2023 Field Schedule Draft, will also be sent electronically to all members.

K. Cook- additional dates will be added for RHS teams.

B. Lasky-Girls Flag Football will be included in the schedule.

VI.                        Field Policy Revision - Discussion

Lighting- K. Cook –issue covered in the last two meetings. Will be meeting with Musco and two additional companies to discuss lighting options for Ridgewood High School.

Field Schedule- Z. Pace-successful season, scheduling was efficient and loved playing in the stadium.   C. Fisher- Season went well and was great for scheduling flexibility.

VII.                        Schedler Property Development

P. Vagianos-Park plans will be discussed at the VC meeting on January 25^th. Public will see the plans currently the park is comprised of a small sided field, play structure, walking path and rest rooms.

S. Winograd- Current plans have not been approved by SHPO.

VIII.                        New Business

K. Cook – Update of turf fields after storm; Stevens field playing area was not impacted and RHS stadium field will be repaired it will take three to four days. 

K. Cook- looking to keep portable restrooms at fields year round
