 ADMINISTRATION:

 - Call to order. Introductions. Minutes from November 14th meeting to be approved (thank you Mahmoud). Tim is the Recording Secretary for tonight’s meeting. I will be collecting $20 from members at the end of the meeting for the annual December lunch for the Shade Tree crew - thanks. Confirm lunch date with Declan/Matt. (Carolyn, 3 min).

 PRESENTATION:

 - Neil Gallone, Ridgewood Water Department, will be presenting a PowerPoint overview of the completed street tree Inventory as it is now incorporated in the Village GIS software. Q&A to follow. (Neil Gallone, 30-45 min).

 COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 - Update on revised Tree Ordinance (George/Siobhan, 5 min).

 - Big/Champion tree initiative NJDEP flier posted online. Response. (Cavan, 2 min).

 - 2024 Budget. No further update to proposed budget. (Andrew, 1 min).

 NEW BUSINESS:

 - Mahmoud - stepping down - with much appreciation from us all for all his efforts and commitment to Village trees. (Mahmoud, 3 min).

 - Cavan, Adam, Carolyn. Reappointed for a new 3-year term. New member, nomination/appointment (Siobhan, 5 min).

 - Revised STC web pages; launch of new Village website, (Tim - 5 minutes).

 - Expand on a Significant Tree initiative for residents to nominate/recognize their trees and have them highlighted on the STC Facebook site. (Carolyn, 2 min).

 - January, 2024 meeting. Per bylaws, election of STC officers. Please consider officer/sub-committee positions and commitment for participating in training and CEU programs. New members as of 2023 should be Core Trained within 2 years of appointment. Everyone must accrue at least 2 CEUs per year.

Call to order. Introductions. Minutes from September 12th meeting to be approved. (Thank you George.) Without a designated Recording Secretary we will again be rotating minute taking among members in alphabetical order beginning in 2024. Ian Keller will be recording the minutes for this meeting. - Adopt-a-Sapling, Saturday, Oct. 14th, updated (Adam, Nancy B-H, 10 minutes)
 
- CBD Phase III and Residential street tree Fall planting, update (Declan, 10 minutes)
 
- 2024 proposed Shade Tree capital budget. Continued discussions with Nancy B, Declan, Matt, Andrew, Carolyn as municipal budgetary issues move forward (Carolyn, Andrew, 5 minutes)
 
- Protective Tree Ordinance (presentation to VC, Oct. 25th, update (George, 15 minutes)
 
- STC trifold brochure, Tree planting and/or Donation request letter, STC revised web pages updates (Tim, Siobhan, Carolyn, 10 minutes)
 
NEW BUSINESS:
 
- Establish Fundraising / “Friends of Ridgewood Trees” sub-committee. Members needed (Carolyn, 3 minutes)
 
- Seek to establish “Ridgewood Champion Trees” project in conjunction with Parks/Rec (Carolyn, 3 minutes)
 

- FYI: Completed Tree Inventory presentation to the STC by Neil Gallone will be scheduled for November meeting.
 
- STC member commitments (amend Bylaws): Meaningful membership participation should require recently (starting 2023) appointed members to become Core Trained within 2 years of appointment; all members be required to attain two (2) CEU’s each year (a two hour annual commitment); participation in Daffodil Festival and Earth Day Fair; active membership on, at least, one sub-committee (Carolyn, 10 minutes)
