‍S&P Maintains AAA Bond Rating for Ridgewood:

 

The Village of Ridgewood is proud to announce that on Friday, S&P Global Ratings maintained an “AAA Stable” financial outlook for Ridgewood.

 

“Ridgewood will likely continue to produce balanced operating results as it budgets conservatively while leveraging an affluent tax base.” ~ S&P Global

‍2024 Village Calendar Delivered:

 

The 2024 Village Calendar has arrive at residential homes over the last week.  Any resident who did not receive a calendar, may pick one up at Village Hall at the reception desk on Level 1.  The PDF link to the printed calendar can be found here: 2024 Village Calendar

‍Two NEW Sanitation Trucks Have Arrived:

 

Two new leased sanitation trucks arrived in Ridgewood on Friday from Cleveland, Ohio. Securing new heavy equipment in this economy remains a challenge for the Village and all municipalities across the country. Thank you to Supervisor of Sanitation, Sean Hamlin and his team for working tirelessly to maintain and rotate our fleet of sanitation and recycling trucks.

‍Hometown Hero Military Banner Program:

 

The Hometown Hero Military Banner Program is back for 2024!  Banners saluting our local Veterans will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day throughout the CBD. ‍Flood Event Survey Photo Submission Portal Launched:


The Village of Ridgewood has launched an online portal for residents to submit details and photos of previous flood events which have impacted their homes.  Residents are asked to make submissions by March 1, 2024.  The portal can be accessed by clicking here: Flood Event Survey and Photo Submission Portal

Jamboree is Coming!


Jamboree is preparing to set sail for an unforgettable voyage on February 8th, 9th and 10th, 2024!  This years’ Show Title is “Smooth Sailing.”   For three nights only, cruise with us as we journey far away from our beloved Ridgewood to inspiring new destinations. Where distant ports of call entice the senses and new discoveries beckon around every corner.  It’s nothing but Smooth Sailing as our guests enjoy world-class entertainment and glamorous excursions featuring fiery choreography, captivating crooners, and dazzling performers. 

This is the 78th Year, counting 1947 as year one!

February is American Heart Month! 


Join Valley Health System, Ridgewood Health Department, and Parks and Recreation for a conversation about women’s heart health on Thursday, February 15 at 10:30 AM at Village Hall (131 N. Maple Avenue, 1st Floor Youth Lounge).

February Holiday Closures:


All Village Offices and Departments will be CLOSED on February 13th and February 20th, in observance of Lincoln’s Birthday and Presidents’ Day.  

 

There will be no garbage or recycling pickup and the Recycling Center will also be closed on these days.   Please check your Village calendar for garbage and recycling pickups these 2 weeks, as they will change, due to the holidays.  We also encourage you to sign up for the Recycle Coach app, which will remind you about changes to garbage or recycling pickups as well as your weekly pickups.
