CONSTRUCTION OFFICIAL – RIDGEWOOD VILLAGE
The Village of Ridgewood seeks a dedicated, organized and customer service oriented professional for the full-time position of Construction Official. The Construction Official will also be the Director of the Building Department. Duties include: performing plan review of projects and inspections as well as supervising a staff of Subcode Officials, technicians and inspectors. Must possess a current, valid Construction Official license, issued by the Department of Community Affairs. In addition, Building HHS and Building Subcode licenses are required, as well as a valid NJ driver’s license. Must be computer literate (Spatial Data Logic, Edmunds); have strong management skills, with the ability to lead and direct personnel; as well as have excellent communication skills when dealing with the public. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
