VILLAGE OF RIDGEWOOD - 2021 PARKING INFORMATION

RIDGEWOOD PARKING PERMITS (RPP) – OBTAINED AT VILLAGE HALL RECEPTION DESK

$1,325 – Ridgewood Residents Only – Hudson Street Garage (2^nd and 3^rd floors), Train Station lot, Cottage lot, Park and Ride lot

$1,000 – Ridgewood Residents Only – Hudson Street Garage (part of 4^th floor designated for commuters), Cottage lot, Park and Ride lot

Free – Ridgewood Residents Only - Train Station Sticker

$1,000– Non-resident in Park and Ride lot only

KIOSK/METER RATES

Hudson Street Garage - $1.00/hour

All streets – $1.25/hour

All lots – $1.00/hour

KIOSK/METER TIMES

All parking areas except the Hudson Street Garage, the Cottage lot, the Train Station lot, and the Park and Ride lot have 3-hour kiosk/meters.  The Hudson Street Garage (3 hours 1^st floor; 14 hours 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th floors); the Cottage lot (11 hours), the Train Station lot (14 hours), and the Park and Ride lot (14 hours) have extended parking kiosk/meter times.

In addition, the CBD employee spaces in the Hudson Street Garage (part of the 4^th floor), and Walnut Street lot are 11 hours. 

CBD EMPLOYEE STICKERS – OBTAINED AT VILLAGE HALL RECEPTION DESK

CBD Employee parking sticker required - $30 annual sticker required to park in CBD Employee spaces in Hudson Street Garage (part of the 4^th floor designated for CBD employees) and Walnut Street lot.  Hangtags are $105/month or $52.50 if sold from the 16^th of the month forward.

GENERAL PARKING – 3-HOUR LIMIT

The Hudson Street Garage (1^st floor), Prospect lot, Chestnut lot, and Walnut lot (except for CBD Employee spaces) are open for general parking, with a 3-hour limit.  All levels of the Hudson Street Garage and the Train Station lot allow for general parking every day after 12 Noon, without permits, with a 3-hour limit.  All must pay at the kiosk/meter or through ParkMobile. 

Vehicles with commuter hangtags (RPP) are not allowed to park in the parking spaces in the Hudson Street Garage (1^st floor), Prospect lot, Chestnut lot, and Walnut lot during the week.  The RPP commuter hangtags may be used on Saturdays in these lots, with a 3-hour limit.

OVERNIGHT PARKING PERMITS – OBTAINED AT VILLAGE HALL RECEPTION DESK

Overnight Parking Permits are available for sale to all residents living in the Central Business District (except for those in the multi-family housing developments), who do not have parking provided to them by their landlord.  The hours for Overnight Parking Permits are from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a. m., all nights.  The locations for the Overnight Parking Permits are in the Prospect lot bounded by Van Neste Square, Dayton Street, and Prospect Street; in the Hudson Street Garage 2^nd floor only; in the Wilsey Square parking site bounded by the New Jersey Transit Railroad and Wilsey Square; and in the Cottage lot bounded by Cottage Place and East Ridgewood Avenue. The Overnight Parking Permits are issued for 3 months ($75) or 6 months ($150).  Applications for Overnight Parking Permits may be obtained through the Village Hall Receptionist by calling 201-670-5500 ext. 200 or by emailing lgaglioti@ridgewoodnj.net or mlocorriere@ridgewoodnj.net.   

15 MINUTE COMPLIMENTARY PARKNG SPACES – VARIOUS LOCATIONS

The Central Business District has several 15-minute complimentary parking spaces on Oak Street, Chestnut Street, North Broad Street (which are located directly off of East Ridgewood Avenue), Hudson Street (spaces are located next to the Broad Street intersection, across from the Hudson Street Parking Garage), and Wilsey Square (just past the loading zone) on the west side, which are available on a daily basis.  These parking spaces are limited to 15 minutes only, are free of charge to everyone, and are to be used to do a quick errand or pick up food or visit a business.  Please be advised that if you are parked in these spaces longer than 15 minutes (you may not pay the kiosk to park in these spaces for a longer period of time), you may receive a parking summons.  These spaces have been generously sponsored by several local businesses and individuals, which are acknowledged on the 15-minute parking signs.
