Hits : 738

Dear Ridgewood Resident:

Village crews will start collecting leaves placed in the street, along the curbline beginning October 23rd, and will continue through December 22nd , weather permitting. Designated Yardwaste Areas (A-D) will be used for leaf removal purposes. Residents in Area B will remain the same with the exception of the following streets which will be considered "Area D" for leaf season only:

Beechwood Rd., Carlton Terr., Elm Court, Kemah Rd., N. Monroe St. (house #108-412), Palmer Ct., S. Hill, Sheridan Terr., Unadilla Rd., Valley View Ave., Waiku Rd., Wastena Terr., Windsor Terr. & Woodland Ave. (house #116-223)

Leaves are to be placed in the street, along the curbline only during the leaf placement dates listed for your area. Your leaves will be collected by Village crews after the leaf placement dates for your area. You may continue to bring leaves as well as brush to the Recycling Center from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Leaves may also be placed in paper biodegradable bags which are available at the Recycling Center on a first come, first served basis. When using bags, please place them on the curb area and not in the street.

Continuous updates and changes in the collection program will be announced on the Village’s website, www.ridgewoodnj.net. In addition, you are urged to sign up for E-Notice, on the Village website, in order to remain informed about changes in the leaf collection program. Weather conditions and leaf amounts may impact the timing of the collection program.

Once leaf collection on your street is complete, crews will not return until the next scheduled collection date. Leaves placed in the street after the street is complete may result in a summons being issued.

NO BRUSH WILL BE COLLECTED DURING LEAF SEASON.

DO NOT put trash, stones, branches, twigs or other yardwaste into leaf piles.

KEEP CHILDREN AWAY from leaf piles that are ready for collection.

AVOID PARKING on streets in cul-de-sacs (leaf machines cannot enter tight spaces).

IF YOU EMPLOY A LANDSCAPER please communicate these placement dates to them.

USE CAUTION when our leaf removal crews are on your block – take an alternate route to ensure the safety of all.

Questions - call the Street Division at (201) 670-5585

Thank you for your continued cooperation.
