11. ORDINANCES – INTRODUCTION
3471 – Amend Chapter 265 – Vehicles and Traffic – Definition of Loading Zones – Defines which type of motor vehicles may be parked in loading zones and for what time period
3472 – Amend Chapter 265 – Vehicles and Traffic – Corella Court – Stop Sign and 2-hour Parking Limit – Establishes a Stop Sign on Corella Court at the intersection of Stevens Avenue in the easterly direction of travel. Also establishes a 2-hour time limit on all sides of Corella Court from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, September 1st - June 30th.
3473 – Amend Chapter 265 – Vehicles and Traffic – Delineation and Clarification of Yellow Zones on Curbs in Central Business District and Establish Vehicle Height Restrictions – Establishes vehicle height restrictions on Garber Square from West Ridgewood Avenue to North Broad Street and on West Glen Avenue from Oak Street, west to Upper Boulevard. It also prohibits vehicles from having loads or contents that causes damage to trees within the Village right-of-way. The fine is $200-$250. This ordinance also prohibits parking a vehicle on any roadway or in any municipal parking lot in an area not intended for parking, whether delineated by marking paint or prohibited by signage. The fine is $75-$100.

15-109 Approve Acceptance of Municipal Alliance Grant Funds – Approves the acceptance of $11,677 in Municipal Alliance grant funds for the Municipal Alliance Committee to provide Drug and Alcohol Awareness programs for the community
15-110 Approve Change Order – North Van Dien Avenue Road Resurfacing and Various Village Streets (NTE $35,200) – Approves Change Order No. 1 for installation of drainage system improvements on Marshall Street which is to be awarded to the original contractor, J.A. 15-111 Authorize Building Department Permit Amnesty Program – Authorizes the Building Department to institute a Building Department Permit Amnesty Program to encourage safety and voluntary self-disclosure of non-permitted work and to obtain compliance without pursuing administrative fees or penalties. This program shall be in effect from April 20-August 21, 2015.
15-112 Approve Girl Scout Juniors Troop 94192 Bronze Award Project – Planting of Trees at Playground on Veterans Field – Approves the Girl Scout Juniors Troop 94192 Bronze Award Project of the planting of trees at the playground located on Veterans Field, pursuant to Title 59. This project has been approved by the Parks Department, Shade Tree Commission and reviewed by the Village Engineer.
15-113 Approve Eagle Scout Project – Learning on the Trails of Habernickel – Approves Eagle Scout Robert Schablik’s project at the Irene Habernickel Family Park which will entail: establishment of a new hiking trail; the identification of trees, flora and fauna; and the installation of two farmer fences and one bench along the new trail. This project has been approved by the Village Engineer and the Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation, and has also been approved pursuant to Title 59.
15-114 Approve Adopt A Tree Program – Approves the Ridgewood Shade Tree Commission’s Adopt a Tree Program which will assist homeowners in planting a tree in the Village owned median between the curb and sidewalk. The Village shall plant the tree and the homeowner shall be responsible for watering and other maintenance of the tree for the first 5 years. The Village will maintain the tree from the sixth year forward. This program is adopted pursuant to Title 59.
15-115 Accept Corrective Action Plan for 2013 Annual Audit – Accepts the Corrective Action Plan proposed to correct the deficiencies found in the 2013 Annual Audit
15-116 Authorize Charge for Mailing of Tax Sale Notices - Authorizes the Tax Collector to charge $25 per mailing of the tax sale notice and add it to the cost of the tax sale
15-117 Appoint Village Auditor ($32,000) – Appoints Nisivoccia, LLP, 200 Valley Road, Suite 300, Mount Arlington, NJ as Village Auditor for the CY 2014 audit and general accounting services under a fair and open contract. $3,000 of the fee will be paid by the Ridgewood Public Library.
