SURVEY - Village of Ridgewood Graydon Pool Operations/COVID 19

TIME SENSITIVE – DEADLINE IS 6/1/2020 AT NOON

The Village Council of the Village of Ridgewood would like your input about opening Graydon Pool this summer.  In order to safely operate the Graydon Pool swimming facility for the residents of the Village during the COVID-19 pandemic this summer, many changes must occur.  The facility and park area will be governed and look differently than they have in the past, as we continue to adhere to social distancing safeguards, the Governor’s mandates, and State health regulations.

Revisions Proposed are as followed:

• Hours of operation, 2 half day sessions each day: Morning session 10:30am-2:30pm, (close for sanitizing 2:30-3:30pm), Afternoon session 3:30-7:30pm
• Admission fee (residents only) is $10.00 per person, per half day session for children and adults (except children under 2 are free). No season memberships, all admissions are first come, first served every day.  Credit given for rain cancellations.
• Possibly 30 to 50 people (may be more or less people, depending on Governor’s orders) swimming in each of these areas: kiddie pool area, shallow area (along Linwood Avenue), and deep water area
• Social distancing must be practiced and masks are to be worn in all areas
• Shade systems, accessibility ramp for entry into the water, Wi-Fi accessibility, and newly renovated restrooms will be available
• The following will not be available at Graydon Pool this summer (unless modified by the Governor’s orders)
  • No concession stand, patio use (tables/chairs/umbrellas)
  • No diving boards or rafts
  • No picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, grills or use of pavilion
  • No spray fountains
  • No volleyball, basketball, playground
  • No recreational games of shuffleboard, four square and hopscotch
  • No instructional swim programs and competitive Graydon Pool swim team
  • No storytime or lending library of books and games through the badge office
