E-NOTICE - SNOWSTORM
Due to the snowstorm, with 16-24 inches of snow and high winds predicted, all Village offices will be closed today, February 1st. Village employees will be responding to their emails and voicemails throughout the day.
Please keep your vehicles off of the streets today and tomorrow, so that our crews can do their work. Overnight parking on the street will not be allowed February 1st and February 2nd. For those with overnight parking permits in the Central Business District, vehicles should be parked on the 2nd floor of the Hudson Street Garage.
Always remember to sign up for Reverse 911 calls, check the Village website, and follow the Village of Ridgewood Facebook pages for updated information.
REMINDERS ABOUT GARBAGE PICKUP DURING SNOW EVENTS
Garbage and recycling pickup will be suspended for February 1st and February 2nd, so please remember to bring your garbage cans to the end of your driveway. The Recycling Center will also be closed. The Village will resume rear yard garbage collection as quickly as possible after the snowstorm, but please continue to bring your garbage cans to the end of your driveway until you have a clear path to them. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our Village employees safe.
REMINDERS ABOUT SNOW REMOVAL
All sidewalks in residential districts must be cleared within 24 hours of the snow falling. Please do not place snow into the street; instead, place it back onto your own property. In addition, if you have a fire hydrant on your property, please clear it of any snow accumulation.
POWER OUTAGES
Due to high winds, there may be power outages. Please stay away from downed wires. Plan ahead and know where your flashlights are located. If you experience a power outage, please do not call the Police Department unless there is an emergency. Instead, please call PSE&G directly at 1-800-436-7734 or text OUT to 47734. You may also report your power outage and check the status with PSE&G’s mobile app or by visiting pseg.com/outagecenter.
Please remember to check on your neighbors during the snowstorm and stay safe.
