15. RESOLUTIONS
THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTIONS, NUMBERED 16-2 THROUGH 16-21 ARE TO BE ADOPTED BY A CONSENT AGENDA, WITH ONE VOTE BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL. THERE IS A BRIEF DESCRIPTION BESIDE EACH RESOLUTION TO BE CONSIDERED ON THE CONSENT AGENDA. EACH RESOLUTION WILL BE READ BY TITLE ONLY:
16-2 Authorize Tax Assessor/Tax Collector to File Appeals and/or Settlement Stipulations - Authorizes the Tax Assessor and/or Tax Collector to file tax appeals and/or settlement stipulations with the Bergen County Board of Taxation for the purpose of correcting assessment errors for the year 2016. This resolution also authorizes the Assessor, in conjunction with the Village Attorney, to conduct settlement negotiations in matters pending before the Tax Court of New Jersey in 2016.
16-3 Award Contract – Purchase of Supplies for Emergency Repair to Mountain Well (NTE $10,845.21) – Awards a contract to the lowest quote from Waterworks Supply Co., 660 State Highway 23, Pompton Plains, NJ
16-4 Award Contract – Recreational Program Instruction - Awards contracts to various vendors for 2016 recreation programs offered by the Village of Ridgewood’s Department of Parks and Recreation
16-5 Title 59 Approval – Water Billing and Data Collection/Processing Services – Approves the specifications for Water Billing and Data Collection/Processing Services prepared by Ridgewood Water, pursuant to Title 59
16-6 Award Contract – Water Billing and Data Collection/Processing Services ($237,395) – Awards a contract to the sole responsible bidder, Computil, Inc., 30 Controls Drive, Shelton, CT
16-7 Title 59 Approval – Tree Maintenance Services – Ridgewood Water – Approves the specifications for Tree Maintenance Services prepared by Ridgewood Water, pursuant to Title 59
16-8 Award Contract – Tree Maintenance Services – Ridgewood Water (NTE $20,000) - Awards year two of a two-year contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Downes Tree Service, 65 Royal Avenue, Hawthorne, NJ
16-9 Title 59 Approval – Chevrolet Tahoe – Police Department – Approves the plans and specifications for Furnishing and Delivering One (1) 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe 4 WD Vehicle for Ridgewood Police Department
16-10 Award Contract – Chevrolet Tahoe – Police Department ($38,800) – Awards a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Paramus Chevrolet, 194 Route 17 North, Paramus, NJ
16-11 Award Professional Services Contract – Physician for Child Health Conference (NTE $3,800) – Awards a Professional Services contract to Dr. Wayne Narucki, 33 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford, NJ
16-12 Award Professional Services Contract - Installation of Backup Power at Critical Facilities – Ridgewood Water (NTE $323,000) – Awards a fair and open Professional Services contract to Arcadis U.S., Inc., 17-17 Route 208 North, Fair Lawn, NJ
16-13 Approve Shared Services Agreement - Bergen County Police Chiefs Association Mutual Aid Plan and Rapid Deployment Force - Authorizes the Ridgewood Police Department to participate in a County-wide Mutual Aid Plan and Rapid Deployment Force to be used in times of emergency
16-14 Authorize Change Order – Emergency Repair to Mountain Well (NTE $3,490) – Authorizes a change order to the original contractor, HD Waterworks Supply, 61 Gross Avenue, Edison, NJ. This change order was necessary due to additional supplies needed that were not anticipated at the time of the original contract.
16-15 Authorize Change Order – Chlorine Analyzers ($2,151.17) – Authorizes a change order to the original contractor, Hach Company, P.O. Box 608, Loveland, CO. This change order was necessary due to additional items needed, that were not anticipated at the time of the award.
16-16 Increase 2016 Deferred School Taxes - Increases deferred school taxes from $44,718,562.00 to $45,630,455.56, an increase of $911,903.56 from 12/31/14 to 12/31/15
16-17 Authorize Claim Settlement – De Lucia ($100,000) – Authorizes this claim settlement to resolve the Village’s liability in this case and remove itself from any further proceedings or liability
16-18 Authorize Claim Settlement – Patire ($15,000) – Authorizes this claim settlement, which was agreed to by the Village Council prior to the trial date for this matter
16-19 Declare Stretchers Surplus Property – Declares three stretchers surplus property and authorizes the Village Manager to dispose of said items
16-20Authorize Application and Approve Acceptance of Municipal Alliance Grant Funds - Approves the acceptance of $11,677 in Municipal Alliance Grant funds for the purpose of providing Drug and Alcohol Awareness programs for the Village for fiscal year July 1, 2016- June 30, 2017
16-21 Approve Hillcrest Road Traffic Improvements – Authorizes various traffic improvements on Hillcrest Road
