B.  OLD BUSINESS

 

 1.Update -  Morningside Rd and Hamilton Rd: road striping has been added as a traffic calming measure.

 

 

 

 2. Update – Sight Triangle Obstructions: After reviewing the list of open items the RPD created a list of the top 15 intersections meeting criteria that included property violations, close proximity to a school and at least 6 motor vehicle accidents in the past five years.  In addition, recently 86 letters have been sent out with some 45 remaining.  Discussion and follow-up.

 

 

 

 3. Follow-up: Lighting in CBD/Franklin Ave & Broad St., any information on remediation by PSE&G and the Village (PD/Engineering/Village Mgr).

 

 

 

 4. Follow-up: Clinton Rd near Ridge School, any recent issues to discuss (PD).

 

 

 

 5. Follow-up:  Bellair Rd., status of installation of double yellow and ‘fog’ lines, enforcement and local resident support (PD/Engineering).

 

 

 

 6. Follow-up: E. Glen at Bogert, installation of in-street crosswalk sign (PD/Engineering).

 

 

 

 7. Follow-up: Stop sign installation, Franklin Ave. extension at No. Irving St, status of review (Engineering).

 

 

 

 8. Follow-up: W. Glen sidewalks and status of project (Engineering).

 

 

 

 9. Follow-up: Review of crosswalk signals/road paving/Village pedestrian safety plan ideas, status of review (Engineering/Village Mgr).

C. NEW BUSINESS

 

 1.An accident occurred on October 30 on North Maple at the library in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle; the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.  Discussion on circumstances/ lessons learned.

 

 

 

2. Based on residents’ concerns on safety/speeding in the area of Eastside Ave and Alanon Rd, a request was made by local residents to conduct a speed study/consider traffic calming/enhance enforcement/consider the installation of a ‘no right turn’ sign at Grove St and Eastside Ave during certain hours (PD). 3. Acknowledgment of PD road closure, Heights Road on Halloween to enhance safety and request for future action (Remis).

 

 

 

 4. Request to relocate stop line, Garber Square at W. Ridgewood Ave to aid in pedestrian safety in crosswalk (Remis).
