PARKS, RECREATION, AND CONSERVATION BOARD
SEPTEMBER MINUTES
Date: September 27, 2022 – The Stable 7:30pm
Attendance: Present: Chair R. Brooks, F. Mortimer, A. Chauvin, V. VanDyke
Absent: D. Sayles, W. Ryker, M. Mahmoud, P. Vagianos, L. Kloak, N. Bigos

Minutes: Minutes for May 2022 – were approved with motions made by F. Mortimer, V. Van Dyke second motion.
Village Master Plan: K. Frey explained that there is little information in the Master Plan regarding the Parks and Recreation offerings.
Parks App: K. Frey explained that she and N. Bigos met with a professor at Ramapo College that works with the technology. K. Frey is hoping to schedule a meeting with him and Dylan from IT.
Healthbarn: R. Brooks shared that Stacey continues to find new programs for the community.
Fall Recreation
Programs/Events: K. Frey shared that we are in week three of fall programs except for outdoor programs. The next round of classes have been confirmed for the end of October to the end of December. The street fair was successful, a lot of new residents.
Summer Review: K. Frey shared an increase of $1,000.00 in sales for Graydon pool.
Ordinance #3907: R. Brooks reviewed the ordinance in regards to attendance of meetings.
Community Center: K. Frey shared there is a Middle school mixer this Friday, September 30th. The Elder dinner date is set for November 13th, it will be a sit down dinner this year. The community center started the youth leadership training.

· R. Brooks discussed the field app was abandoned. The BOE has developed an app called Master Library that is a scheduling system for gyms, auditoriums, fields, meeting rooms and stages.
Shade Tree Commission – V. Van Dyke

Community Center Advisory Board – L. Kloak
· L. Kloak - absent
Green Ridgewood – F. Mortimer
· F. Mortimer reported that they were involved in the Master Plan, a lot of information was sent to the members. They want to pursue a sound ordinance for leaf blowers for commercial and residential use.
