THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION, NUMBERED 18-169, WILL BE ADOPTED BY A CONSENT AGENDA, WITH ONE VOTE BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL. THERE IS A BRIEF DESCRIPTION BESIDE THE RESOLUTION TO BE CONSIDERED ON THE CONSENT AGENDA, AND IT WILL BE READ BY TITLE ONLY:

18-169    Award Professional Services Contract – Water                Rate      Study – Additional Funding (NTE $9,000)                – Authorizes the Village Manager, the Mayor,                and the Village Clerk to increase the amount                of funds in the originally awarded                          Professional Services Contract to Howard               Woods, Jr. & Associates. These additional              funds will be for Mr. Woods’ presentation of                his Water Rate studies as a specialist and             witness before Superior Court, related to the          Ridgewood Water lawsuit

18-172    Reject Bids – School Bus Transportation –              Summer Day Camp – Rejects the bids received            on April 24, 2018 for School Bus                          Transportation due to the fact that the bid            documents did not include a provision for              transporting disabled or handicapped campers

18-173    Title 59 Approval – School Bus Transportation          – Approves the specifications for Furnishing,          Delivering of School Bus Transportation                     Services for the Ridgewood Recreation                  Department, June 1, 2018 through May 31,               2019, prepared by the Engineering Division,            pursuant to Title 59

18-174    Award Contract – School Bus Transportation –                Summer Day Camp – Daily Transportation (NTE            $26,040) – Awards a contract for Daily                 Transportation Services to the lowest                  responsible bidder, Trans-Ed, 24 Beckwith              Avenue, Paterson, NJ

18-175    Award Contract – School Bus Transportation –                Summer Day Camp – Day Camp Trips (NTE $3,582)          – Awards a contract for Day Camp Trips to the          lowest responsible bidder, First Student,              Inc., 170 South Dean Street, Englewood, NJ

18-181    Authorize Change to Professional Services              Contract for Connolly & Hickey, Historical             Architects - Phase 1A Historical and                   Archaeological Study – Zabriskie-Schedler              House and Schedler Park (NTE $10,000) –                     Authorizes a change to the original                    Professional Services Contract awarded to              Connolly & Hickey, Historical Architects, to                include a Phase 1A Historical and                      Archaeological Study of the Zabriskie-                 Schedler House and surrounding Schedler Park                property

18-182    Extend Suspension of Ordinance for Certain             Illuminated Signs in Central Business                  District - Extends the suspension of the               ordinance for certain illuminated signs in             the Central Business District to December 31,          2018

18-183    Authorize Encroachment Agreement – 34 Wilsey           Square – Authorizes a minor Encroachment               Agreement for this property, for the                   placement of goose neck lights which will              extend over the sidewalk. Also authorizes the          Mayor and Village Manager to sign this                 Encroachment Agreement.

18-184    Authorize Mailing of Estimated 2018 Third              Quarter Tax Bills - Authorizes the mailing of          estimated tax bills for the 2018 third                 quarter

18-185    Authorize Membership in U.S. Communities               Government Purchasing Alliance and Authorize           Execution of Agreement – Authorizes the                Village of Ridgewood to join the U.S.                  Communities Government Purchasing Alliance             and authorizes the Village Manager and the             Mayor to execute the membership agreement

 

 

 

 

18-186    Authorize Membership in Somerset County                Cooperative Pricing System, #2-SOCCP and               Authorize Execution of Membership Agreement –          Authorizes the Village of Ridgewood to join            the Somerset County Cooperative Pricing                System #2-SOCCP through December 31, 2018,             and each renewal thereafter of this                    cooperative pricing system, until the Village          elects to formally withdraw from the system.          Also authorizes the Village Manager and Mayor          to execute the membership agreement.

18-187    Authorize Director of Parks and Recreation to          Execute Certain Seasonal Contracts –                   Authorizes the Director of Parks and                   Recreation to execute contracts/agreements up          to $5,000 in relation to Parks and Recreation        seasonal activities

18-188    Authorize Application to AARP Community Grant          for Age Friendly Ridgewood and Authorize               Execution of the Agreement – Pedestrian                Safety Improvements – Authorizes the grant             application by Age Friendly Ridgewood for the          purchase of two solar-powered flashing                 pedestrian crosswalk signs, which shall be             installed by Village employees. Also                   authorizes the Village Engineer to sign the            grant agreement, on behalf of the Village of           Ridgewood.

18-189    Acknowledge Application for Bergen County              Historic Preservation Grant for James Rose             Center – Acknowledges that the James Rose              Center is applying for a Bergen County                 Historic Preservation Trust Fund grant for             the historic preservation of the James Rose            Center, located in the Village of Ridgewood

18-190    Authorize Settlement of Claim – 386 High View          Terrace ($16,724.64) – Authorizes the                  settlement of a sewer backup claim at 386              High View Terrace

18-191    Authorize Execution of Developer’s Agreement           – Two Forty Associates – Authorizes the Mayor          and Village Clerk to execute the Developer’s           Agreement for Two Forty Associates, which has          been approved by the Planning Board and has            been reviewed and approved by the Village              Attorney

18-192    Authorize Execution of Developer’s Agreement           – The Dayton - Authorizes the Mayor and                Village Clerk to execute the Developer’s               Agreement for The Dayton, which has been               approved by the Planning Board and has been            reviewed and approved by the Village Attorney

 

18-193    Approve 2018-2019 Renewals of Liquor Licenses          - Approves the annual renewal of liquor                     licenses in the Village of Ridgewood
